Meet Our Team
At Luzid Smiles, we have a team of experienced and knowledgeable dental professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional dental care to our patients. Our team is led by husband-and-wife dental team, Drs. Luis and Zita Dominicis. Together, we work to provide complete oral health care under one roof.
Meet Dr. Luis Dominicis
My name is Luis Dominicis, I was born in Downey and was raised in Bell Gardens, CA. In 2001, I moved to Leon, Guanajuato Mexico and obtained my DDS degree in 2007 from the Universidad de LaSalle Bajio, where I also met my wife, Dr. Zita.
Since graduating from dental school, I have worked in private practice and several community health clinics. I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 kids, I am also a BIG Dodgers fan, I love biking and running, which led me to participate in 3 Sprint Triathlons.
A fun fact is that I am a 4th generation dentist. My great-grandfather and grandfather were dentists in Cuba. Dentistry is extensive in the Dominicis family since I share this passion with my father and 3 siblings, 2 of them whom are Dentists and one a dental hygienist. Let's see what the future holds for my kids and maybe one of them gets to be a 5th generation Dentist.
I practice dentistry with the philosophy that ALL my patients are treated as if they were family. I love to serve the community and my main goal is to improve the oral health of everyone within my community.

Meet Dr. Zita Dominicis
Hi, I am Dr. Zita, I was born and raised in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, which is where I also went to dental school at Universidad De La Salle Bajio. At the time, it was the only dental school accredited by the Dental Board of California, outside of the US. There, I met my husband, Dr. Luis Dominicis.
After obtaining my dental degree, I completed my Residency at a Mexican hospital. I relocated to California in 2008, and Dr. Luis and I got married. I got my California dental license, and since my first language is Spanish, studying for the dental boards and WREB was intense, to say the least, but my passion for dentistry got me through it.
We have 3 beautiful kids that keep us busy and entertained. Although I’ve been practicing for a long time, it has always been my priority to find the balance between being a mom and my love for dentistry. Now that the kids are older and more independent, we decided it was time to follow our dream to open a dental practice based on our vision and serve our community.
